Janja Jazbar graduated in 2011 from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. Her diploma thesis entitled Microvesicles as inflamatory and coagulant markers of human coronary artery endothelial cells following their stimulation with serum amiloid A was performed under the supervision of prof. dr. Borut Božič and assist. prof. dr. Snežne Sodin-Šemrl in University Medical Center Ljubljana, Department of Rheumatology. After graduation she worked at the community pharmacy and in 2012 started her work as an assistant at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Social pharmacy. She finished her PhD in 2021 under the supervision of prof. dr. Mitja Kos and prof. dr. Igor Locatelli: The influence of medication and alcohol use on frailty syndrome among older adults. She is involved in education activities of the following subjects: Pharmaceutical informatics, Biomedical informatics, Selected chapters in biomedical informatics, Social Pharmacy, Research methods in social pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management and Traineeship. The focus of her research is pharmacoepidemiology, specifically the challenges of medication use among older adults. She also participates in the pharmacoepidemiological, pharmacoeconomic, and study design and analysis projects. She is a member of the Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society (SFD) and within the department a member of the Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE). |
