Within the framework of the Uniform master's program, she participates as a lecturer of Practical training program and the lecturer of the optional subject Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management. She is also a mentor in master's theses. In the period from 2008 to 2016, she was main course instructor and senior lecturer for the Pharmacology course at the Jesenice Faculty of Healthcare.
Dr Čufar has started her career in community pharmacy as head of galenic laboratory before becoming a manager of the same regional public pharmacy institution with 17 community pharmacies. Between 2002 and 2010, she served as the President of the Slovene Chamber of Pharmacy. After that, she took over management of the hospital pharmacy at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, the largest university hospital in Slovenia. Following six years in the hospital pharmacy, she decided to run for the managing position in the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of the Republic of Slovenia (JAZMP). From 2015 to 2018, she served as Director of the JAZMP. In addition to its management tasks, her field of work included quality systems in medicine, introduction of clinical pharmacy, planning and introduction of new information technologies in a pharmacy. From 2018 she has been working as the Head of Quality Management at Kemofarmacija.
Dr. Andreja Čufar received her bachelor degree in pharmacy form the University of Ljubljana (Title: Comparative analysis of rehabilitation procedures after acute myocardial infarction in Slovenia and around the world); she holds master’s degree in pharmaceutical technology (Title: Evaluation and use of mathematical models to optimize the composition of matrix tablets for controlled release) and PhD in clinical pharmacy (title: Planning of clinical pharmacy services in the hospital using artificial intelligence methods). At the Faculty of Pharmacy Ljubljana, Department of Social Pharmacy, she has been assistant in the field of social pharmacy since 2005.
