Mirjam Gosenca Matjaž is a lecturer in three different study programmes on Faculty of Pharmacy:

Her main research area are advanced delivery systems for dermal application. Her work in this field focuses on two segments, namely:

i)  development and structural evaluation of novel dermal delivery systems based on association structures of surfactants (with main emphasis on liquid crystals), evaluation of stability and dermal delivery of API or cosmetically active ingredients;

ii)  biocompatibility evaluation of novel delivery systems on cell lines.

She has presented her research work at several scientific international meetings. Together with her professional colleagues she has published articles in national and international journals, where she is also a reviewer. She participates in various industrial projects.

She is a member of the Faculty Ethics Commission and the Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society.
