Črt Dragar graduated from high school in Trbovlje and enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy, at the University of Ljubljana in 2014. As a student, he worked on the research project »Nanotheranostics based on magneto-responsive materials« at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Jožef Stefan Institute under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Petra Kocbek and Assist. Prof. Slavko Kralj.
He did the research work for his master's thesis in the field of polymeric nanoparticles at the University of Graz, Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences during the Erasmus+ exchange (from March to August 2019). He graduated under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Eva Roblegg and Assoc. Prof. Petra Kocbek in 2019 with a »cum laude« grade. In the same year, he entered the postgraduate study of Biomedicine, the field of Pharmacy.
In 2019 he started to work at the Faculty of Pharmacy, The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology as a young researcher under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Petra Kocbek. Since 2019 he has been habilitated as an assistant for pharmaceutical technology. Since 2023 he has been employed at the Faculty of Pharmacy, The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology as an assistant. He received also the Emerging professional recognition at the Novartis BioCamp 2023.
Besides a »cum laude« grade, he also received the award of Faculty of Pharmacy for an average grade above 9.00. At the jubilee 50th competition he received the Krka prize for his master thesis in English with the title Development, functionalization, and characterization of poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid nanoparticles. During his postgraduate study, he spent 4 months in Prague, Czech Republic, where he worked in the formulation department of the pharmaceutical company Zentiva within the framework of the ORBIS project.
In November 2023 he finished the postgraduate study of Biomedicine, the field of Pharmacy by defending his doctoral dissertation with the title "Development of nanofibers with magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications" under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Petra Kocbek and Assist. Prof. Slavko Kralj.
