Ana Baumgartner was born in 1997 in Ljubljana. She attended secondary school Gimnazija Bežigrad and in 2015, she enrolled in Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Ljubljana. She spent the acaedmic year 2018/2019 at the University of Helsinki as an Erasmus+ exchange student, where she was a part of a research group at the Division for Pharmaceutical Technology dealing with nanotechnology. In 2020, she greaduated her Masters degree cum laude by defending her Master thesis titled Literature review of solid dispersions containing poorly water-soluble drugs and various commercially available mesoporous silica materials intended for oral use, supervised by professor Odon Planinšek, PhD. Afterwards, she enrolled in doctoral programme Biomedicine, scientific field of pharmacy. She is employed at the Chair of Pharmaceutical Technology as a young researcher supervised by prof. Planinšek.
In academic year 2017/2018, she was the class representative and secretary of the faculty Student Council.
In 2020, she got the UL Faculty of Pharmacy award for study average above 9.00. |
