Stane Pajk was born in 1983 in Brežice. He studied at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana and in 2006 received the Master of Pharmacy degree. Diploma thesis entitled ˝Synthesis of new derivatives of mimetics of azaglutamic acid with potential antibacterial activity˝. In 2006 he was employed at the Chair of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy as a young researcher. In April 2011 he defended his PhD thesis entitled ˝Influences of some oxidation products of cholesterol on the structure of model membranes˝. He is partly employed at the Laboratory of biophysics at the Jožef Stefan Institute. His research interests are pharmaceutical analysis, design and synthesis of spin and fluorescent probes and compounds with potential anti-tuberculosis activity. |
