Janez Ilaš was born in 1980 in Novo Mesto. In 2003 he graduated at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University with the thesis ˝Synthesis and evaluation of spin labeled adenosine receptor antagonists˝. Since 2003 he is working at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. In 2008 he defended his doctoral thesis ˝Design and synthesis of novel antithrombotics with dual mechanism of action˝. His research work includes the design and synthesis of peptidomimetic compounds, structure-based drug design, in particular dual anticoagulant and antiaggreagotory compounds. Since August 2001 he is participating at the 7th Marex Framework Programme (www.marex.fi) and from October 2011 is MC Member in COST TD 0905 Action EPIGENETICS: Bench to Bedside. His international cooperation includes prof. dr. Christa E. Müller, Pharmaceutical Institute Bonn, Prof. Dr. Ferenc Hudecz, Eötvös Loránd Univ., Budapest and Prof. Dr. Peter Matyus, Dept. Org. Chem., Semmelweis Univ., Budapest. |
