Marija Bogataj defended her PhD Thesis in 1995 on the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana on the field of bioadhesive microspheres for intravesical administration.
Elections: 1992, 1995 assistant in the field of pharmaceutical technology, 1998 assistant professor, 2003 and 2008 associate professor, and 2014 full professor in the field of pharmaceutical technology and biopharmacy.
Teaching: laboratory work and later lectures at subjects Pharmaceutical Technology 2 and Biopharmacy with pharmacokinetics. She leads the elective subject Biopharmaceutical evaluation of dosage forms and has lectures also for PhD students. She was supervisor or co-supervisor at more than 90 diploma thesis and students research works, two master thesis and supervisor at four and co-supervisor at two doctoral thesis.
Her research work began with studies on the field of microencapsulation, she continued with bioadhesive microspheres for urinary bladder administration and studies of adhesive, permeation and self-protective properties of urinary bladder mucosa. In last years she leads intensive work on the development of biorelevant dissolution systems and approaches which already resulted in publications, industrial projects and collaboration with foreign research groups.
With her collaborators she published more than 30 research articles indexed in SCI, Slovenian and International patent and international patent application. She collaborates with other researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy, from other faculties from Ljubljana University and with renowned foreign research groups.
From 2003 she is a president of Habilitation Commission on the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. |
