Workshop: Your manuscript through an editor's eyes: Best practices and pitfalls in getting published

18. April 2019 - 18. April 2019

Have you ever wondered why your last journal submission was directly rejected? Or how editors pick referees and conduct peer review? Or what exactly do editors and publishing houses do? In this talk, Dr. David Peralta, Editor-in-Chief of ChemMedChem (a Wiley-VCH and ChemPubSoc Europe journal) talks from his experience as a scientific editor and opens up the "black box" of science publishing.  Dr. Peralta will provide tips on how to optimize your submission and deal with rejected papers. Students, postdocs, and professors working in the natural/physical sciences, particularly chemistry, biology, environmental science, physics, and materials sciences, are invited to this seminar to get tips on how to improve their manuscripts and chances of getting published. This is also a great opportunity to learn about editorial work, which is an excellent career option for those with graduate degrees in the sciences.

Workshop will be held in lecture room P3 on 18. 4. 2019 from 9.00 to 10.40.
