Assist. Blaž Grilc, M. Ind. Pharm.

Blaž Grilc attended gymnasium in Domžale and after graduating enrolled in the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana, majoring in chemical engineering. He graduated under the supervision of doc. dr. Klementina Zupan with a thesis entitled: "Analysis of microstructure of material for oxide anodes in high temperature fuel cells". He continued his studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana in the Master's program Industrial Pharmacy. He completed his master's thesis entitled: "Evaluation of segregation of binary mixtures with spherically crystallized lactose" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Odon Planinšek. In 2015, he was employed as a research associate at the Faculty of Pharmacy as part of an international research project. In 2016 he was habilitated in the field of pharmaceutical technology and became actively involved in pedagogical work at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology. He was a laboratory assistant in five subjects at three study programs. Currently, he is actively involved in conducting laboratory practicals in three subjects. Most of his research time is devoted to collaborating with industrial partners to find solutions to various challenges.
