Ilija German Ilić was born in 1978 in Ljubljana. He attended primary school of Božidar Jakac and later gymnasium Ledina in Ljubljana. After graduation he enrolled in Faculty of pharmacy in autumn of 1997. Between 2002 and 2003 he was actively involved at writing student newsletter Spatula. In september of 2006 he graduated under the mentorship of prof. Odon Planinšek with thesis titled Filling of placebo tablets with nanoparticles of titanium dioxyde. The same year he took position of young researcher at Department of pharmaceutical technology under the mentorship of prof. Stane Srčič. In 2011 he defended his PhD thesis titled Study of compressibility and compactibility of selected pharmaceutical excipients. In pedagogic process he is involved with practical excercises in industrial pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology I, pharmaceutical technology (Master of Ind. farm.), physical pharmacy and cosmetic products II (Cosmetology).
His research area of interest includes mostly single dose solid dosage forms (capsules, pellets, tablets) and hot melt processes.
