| Ilija German Ilić has experience and/or researches the following topics in pharmaceutical technology:
- Production of solid dispersions by spray-drying, IR heater or hot-melt extrusion using mesoporous carriers as excipients (current research)
- Solidification of liquids into solid delivery systems: granulation of mesoporous carriers with self-emulsifying liquids (current research)
- Technologies: tableting, granulation (high-shear and fluid-bed), melt technologies, spray-drying
- Dosage forms: tablets for immediate and sustained release, orodispersible tablets, multi-layered tablets, multiple-unit dosage forms (granules and pellets)
- Analytics: DSC, UV-VIS/HPLC, release, compaction of powders (plasticity, elasticity, tabletability)
- Contract development for pharmaceutical industry: feasibility studies, patent independant solutions, de-/preformulation, formulation of dosage forms, processibility of manufacturing procedures

| Memberships: Slovenian pharmaceutical society (SFD), Expert group for preparation of Formularium Slovenicum (@JAZMP) and Committee for innovations (@UL).
