The same year he took position of young researcher at Department of pharmaceutical technology under the mentorship of prof. Stane Srčič. In 2011 he defended his PhD thesis titled Study of compressibility and compactibility of selected pharmaceutical excipients. In pedagogic process he is involved with practical excercises in industrial pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology I, pharmaceutical technology (Master of Ind. farm.), physical pharmacy and cosmetic products II (Cosmetology).
His research area of interest includes mostly single dose solid dosage forms (capsules, pellets, tablets) and hot melt processes.
- study of mechanical properties of excipients for tableting (compressibility, compactibility)
- fluid-bed granulation
- high-shear granulation
- spray-drying and spray-congealing
- research and development of special dosage forms (e.g. ODT, MUPS, etc).
