Syllabus outline
The course aims to acquaint students with the process equipment used for drug manufacturing. The basic breakdown of equipment is given on the level of pharmaceutical technology unit operations. Students also learn a set of technological equipment for each operation in detail and understand the operating principles and control of process variables for the most commonly used equipment in a particular technology segment. The course deals with process equipment for the manufacture of solid dosage forms, semi-solid, liquid and sterile dosage forms.
