Dr. Bojan Doljak is a researcher and lecturer at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Pharmacy, Chair of Pharmaceutical Biology. He earned his Ph.D. in 2002 with the thesis entitled: "Searching for selective inhibitors of thrombin and pancreactic lipase with bacterial random peptide display library and insolation of thrombin inhibitors from selected basidiomycetes". He did his post-doc at Harvard Medical School, Laboratory for Cell and Molecular biology, Beth Israel Medical Center, Boston, USA (August 2003 - August 2004). He currently lectures at five different study programmes at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnical faculty about Biochemistry and Quality Assurance. Since 2000 he has been an expert at the Chemicals Office of the Republic of Slovenia concerning Good laboratory practice (GLP). Since 2009 he has been the president of the Commission for Quality and Accreditation at the Faculty of Pharmacy. The field of his research is molecular and cellular biology, in particular proteases involved in cancer development. |
