A big success of students from UL FFA at Regional BioCamp 2019

Between 19th and 21st May 2019, Novartis in Slovenia hosted the ninth consecutive Regional BioCamp. Among the numerous applications, 35 most talented students were selected. This year, beside the students of natural sciences, for the first time, also students with a background in social sciences participated. The participants explored neuroscience and addressed the challenges and opportunities that the future of the treatment of neurological diseases brings. Additionally, the focus evolved around digital therapeutics and students were given a task based on a real case under the auspices of the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research.

According to the way they worked and applied their innovative thinking, the expert panel selected four best performing individuals who stood out in the competitive part of the forum, and one winning team that presented the best case study.

Among the individual winners of this year’s Regional BioCamp are also Ardita Veseli and Jurij Zdovc from University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Pharmacy, The Chair of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics. Ardita Veseli is also a member of the winning team, together with two other students from our faculty, Rok Hribšek and Anže Zidar.

Ardita and Jurij in the end stated, that they were members of extremely positive teams and that their victory could not have happened without a great energy and communication with other participants.
