Nejc Horvat graduated in 2007 under the supervision of prof. dr. Aleš Mrhar and assist. dr. Mitja Kos. The theme title was: Development of a questionnaire measuring patient satisfaction with pharmacy services. After graduation, he completed an internship at JZZ Mariborske lekarne. In 2014 he completed his Ph. D. titled: Evaluation of pharmacy services from the patient and expert perspective under the supervision of assoc. prof. dr. Mitja Kos. Currently, he is a member of different research teams within the Department of Social Pharmacy. His research focus is primarily the outcomes research, particularly evaluation of pharmacy services, health literacy and drug related problems. He is involved in education activities of the following subjects: Introduction to Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Informatics, Social Pharmacy, Research methods in social pharmacy, Traineeship and Management and communication in Biomedicine. Since 2019, he has been the coordinator of Traineeship programme. He also serves as the administrator of the FFA online classroom.
In the postgraduate programme Biomedicine, he is involved in the implementation of the elective Pharmaceutical Communication, which is attended by pharmacy and clinical pharmacy specialists.
He was a board member of Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe from 2014 to 2020 and also served as its secretary in 2016-2018. |
