Darja Gramec Skledar was born in 1987 in Brežice. She completed her studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Ljubljana in August 2012 with the Master of Pharmacy degree. Her final thesis “Determination of bisphenol A and trichlosane in urine by gas chromatography with a mass selective detector”,was prepared under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marija Sollner Dolenc. In December 2012 she was employed as a young researcher under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lucija Peterlin Mašič at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. Her research field covers in vitro studies of metabolism and endocrine effects of various environmental pollutants. The theme of her doctoral dissertation is "In vitro study of metabolism and endocrine effects of selected bisphenols and newer brominated flame retardants.
